CRU, a long time client of Robert Ober & Associates (RO&A), enlisted our firm to EPC another custom transload facility for proppant. Even through the downturn in the oil and gas industry, CRU saw an opportunity to expand while others were not. Not knowing what lies ahead CRU decided to build a transloading facilty different than their other larger scale facilities consisting of vertical silo storage.
Robert Ober & Associates, LLC completed a full project development and turnkey construction EPC of a 60 Million pound (30,000 Ton) transloading frac sand facility in Loving, New Mexico. This facility was commissioned to serve the Permian Basin. The concentric design consisted on the turnkey terminal of six (6) tanks each holding 10 Million pounds (5,000 Ton) of frac sand with the terminal rail unloading capacity of 800 TPH.
The Central Concrete plant, located in the heart of the rapidly expanding San Francisco Bay area, produces a wide variety of specialized concrete mixes. Their complex mixes are used in the construction of retaining walls, city streets, major interstate roadways, high-rise buildings and awe-inspiring bridges, and the more basic mix designs are used in porches, driveways, and sidewalks.
Re-activate dormant mine hoist system in order to access mothballed underground operations. Decommission underground equipment to be entombed in the old mine and extract equipment to be put on display at the Oil Sands Discovery Center in Ft. McMurray, Alberta Canada. Strip mine shafts and prepare them for back-filling with a specially designed low shrink concrete mix. Set up on-site concrete batch plant and produce 4,000 cubic yards of concrete to fill the abandoned mine shafts. Demolish all above ground mine shaft related buildings, reclaim waste water treatment pond and buried oil storage tank, and finish grade site.
Robert Ober & Associates, LLC was hired by Valmont Industries to assist the corporation in ascertaining a new benchmark in a standardized specification for its ongoing requirement of new and or replacement concrete production facilities. The corporation required standardization of a state-of-the-art 21st century facility, which could be replicated across its territories worldwide. The standardized facility was to make the highest-quality concrete, and also set a new milestone for environmental citizenship.
